Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Endpoint Technician in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

BASIC PURPOSE : The Endpoint Technician will be responsible for the manual execution and tracking of projects relating to store endpoints both hardware and software related. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of and proficiency in installing, deploying and configuring a range of Microsoft Windows operating systems, and third party software in medium to large environments. Candidate will also be responsible for establishing communication with and relaying information to store personnel, working with onsite technicians, and updating internal teams on project status to ensure successful project completion. Job duties will also involve regularly scheduled store endpoint maintenance, and manual remediation of failed automated software deployments.


  • Installation and configuration of software on store endpoints.

  • Assist and support on site technicians in hardware and software installations.

  • Work with other teams to test and configure application packages for retail systems

  • Monitor and report project status to all applicable parties.

  • Facilitate communication between store personnel, technicians, and internal teams to minimize downtime.

  • Test and improve documentation based on project requirements

  • Monitor/resolve support tickets related to endpoint configuration

  • Perform post-resolution follow-ups with customers to ensure resolutions remain successful

  • Reporting and metrics documentation

  • Create and update knowledgebase documentation

  • Ability to work well in team environments

  • User support administrative duties

  • Other duties assigned as needed


  • Education:

  • REQUIRED: HS Diploma or equivalent required

  • PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Computer Science/Management of Information Systems OR Associate’s Degree in the field of Computer Science/Management of Information Systems with 2 years of desktop support experience

  • PREFERRED: Certifications pertaining to desktop/helpdesk support such as A+, MCP, MCDST, CCNA, etc,

  • Experience:

  • REQUIRED: 3 years in a desktop support role

  • REQUIRED: Previous experience in a 24x7x365 IT Operations environment

  • PREFERRED: 5 years in a desktop support role

  • PREFERRED: Experience with Microsoft System Center and particularly using SCCM for deployments



  • Strong customer service orientation; effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills; strong written and oral communication skills; analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail; self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under littler supervision; experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Typical Physical Demands:

  • On-call availability as needed.

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.

  • Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand and power tools, and to handle other computer components.

  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
