OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION: The Area Restaurant Manager will help run our business by overseeing all operations in multiple restaurants

JOB SUMMARY: The Area Restaurant Manager will perform various daily manager duties by overseeing, directing and coordinating activities at each location to better serve customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and verify that Restaurant Managers are doing the same

  • Utilize the Love’s Planner to plan and schedule activities and tasks

  • Responsible for protecting company assets with various audit processes and ensure that all cash handing and Love’s policies and procedures are being followed by all employees

  • Effectively manage employee development with feedback and training opportunities

  • Conduct regular quarterly visits and weekly conference calls for each location

  • Utilize the LMS and other necessary training tools to verify that training is complete and consistent in all locations

  • Oversee and Utilize the Inventory Management System to ensure that proper inventory levels and in stock positions are maintained in each location

  • Address employee issues in an appropriate and timely manner. Collaborate with District Manager as necessary to manage employee issues

  • Oversee labor management and effective scheduling at each location by ensuring that the master schedule is adhered to

  • Identify areas of opportunity on the monthly P&L and weekly 13 weeker report and implement plans to correct any issues

  • Ensure that all employees follow Love’s safety procedures while using a sharp knife, a food slicer, toaster, oven, fryers, and other food preparation tools and appliances

  • Oversee the interior and exterior condition of each restaurant to ensure it is meeting established company standards in terms of facility maintenance, proper merchandising, and suitable marketing procedures

  • Effectively manage Mystery Shop scores and implement plans to improve scores

  • Responsible to review all service metrics and reports to teach and coach for improved Customer Service standards, including but not limited to: SOS Ranking Reports, Drive Thru SOS Reports, Mystery Shops, Driver Panel, etc.

  • Oversee equipment preventive maintenance to ensure that all equipment is fully functional at all times. Get repairs made, when needed, as quickly as possible.

  • Perform weekly and monthly projects and assigned tasks

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Maintain personal grooming and company uniform standards

  • Maintain company attendance standards

  • Other tasks as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education:

  • College Degree preferred

  • Experience:

  • 5+ years in a restaurant management position required

  • Requirements:

  • Must have valid driver’s license

  • Must have clean and consistent record of safety

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Skills:

  • Hard Skills: Ability to learn and operate all facility equipment including computers and restaurant equipment

  • Soft Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, time management and delegation skills, organization skills, can-do attitude, sense of urgency, and strong work ethic.

  • Typical Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to talk and hear.

  • Requires standing and walking, with some bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing

  • Occasional light lifting not over 50lbs

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outdoor elements in all seasons. Occasionally, the employee will also be exposed to fumes and particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. While performing the duties, the employee is frequently exposed to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high-concentrated cleaning solutions, and human waste.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Weekly travel will be required. This position will also require frequent phone calls at various times of day or night.
